Winnifred (Dempsey) Lavigne
May 18, 1948 - March 23, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Winnie Lavigne from Lorne, NB born in Jacquet River, NB. Which occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 76 of Cancer. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Late Catherine (Strett) Dempsey of Jacquet River, NB.
She is survived by her partner; Lloyd LaPointe, her daughters; Suzanne (Chris) LaPointe, Micheline (Stephane) LeBel and son Pierre (Lesley) Lavigne, her sisters; Ann, Kathleen and Marion, eight grandchildren; Kelsey, Jake, Jakota, Natisha, Angelica, Crystal, George, and Leanna. Along with her great grandchildren Grace and Jonathan.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Murray Lavigne, son Sylvio Lavigne, siblings; Mona Maltais, Franky Dempsey, and twins Salicity and Perpetua.
She will be missed dearly by all her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the cancer society would be appreciated.
Per Winnie’s wishes a visitation will be held at MacMillan & Drapeau Chapel, Benjamin River on March 28, 2025 from 11:30am to 1:30pm with a Funeral Mass to follow at St Gabriels Church, Jacquet River at 2pm. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
