It is with a heavy heart that we received the news of Dorothy ,s passing. She was an extended member of our family from the beginning of my Mother, s life in Archibald Settlement. We celebrated many 1st with her and MARY , and many milestones. She was there for us in good times ,and otherwise. MY wedding shower, and Baby Showers were both held at the House on the HILL.. , as lovingly referred to. Dorothy spent several nights rocking me to sleep as a new born , helping Elsie with the Twins. the bond we had can never be erased.. Dorothy always had a smile and we enjoyed going to Church services and functions and seeing her there. Also, we enjoyed having her visit us in Carleton County, after we retired and moved here.

My memories goes back many years for Dorothy. In Archibald Settlement she lived on the second farm from us, and the Carmichaels were very much in our growing up years.

Then she worked at Dudley and Jean Smith's in Salmon Beach which was our second home in the summers.
